Fantasy sac says: (t d f) Nothing new here except Green is too high along with Portis and Lewis is too low along with McAllister. How does Andre Johnson get to the 26th spot and Jordan at the 25th spot, who are these people and why are they giving props for these guys so early? Food for thought as many drafts are starting up. IF you already drafted your league, your a dumbass.

if you're looking for a good fantasy football service, i've spent the last few months developing a service that is substantially better than the existing ones (yahoo, espn, etc.). there are a lot of cutting edge new features, but the best one is the ability to execute multi-team trades involving players, future draft choices, or both.
the site launched this week and i hope you try it out. the url is fleaflicker.com.
if you have any questions, you can contact me through the e-mail listed on the website's "contact" page.
thanks!
Okay okay I'll take a wack at it...
I've changed my mind (I'll probably do that a few more times this preseason)... Going with a QB in round one could kill you. I've been using that mock draft ...that's out there somewhere for free... and everytime I take someone like Manning or Culpepper in Rd 1 I end up with a starting RB corps of A.Green and S.Jackson. vs. if I were to wait till Rd2 for a QB I would get my picking order of Rd1 RBs, McNabb, and usually Westbrook or S.Jackson.
...My whole point is Manning is too high...
Overview: There are a few that are up to 5 spots off, but the main noticable ones are:
Too High- (agreed)
A.Green
Portis
Too Low-
D.Davis (I just have a gut feeling about him this year)
McAllister
McNabb
J.Lewis
Missing-
-I think Trent Green may deserve a spot up there too.
Also I've been seeing Jordan and Johnson going that early. -even earlier.
Is there a reason why no Westbrook? He had a good season last year. He also gets you a lot of catching points too
Your getting it Eric, here is the deal with QB's, almost all of them will score more then any running back, BUT only a FEW running backs will get you as many points as the WORST QB. See where I going here? Unless you got the 9th or 10th pick where you can get a RB soon after, take your time.
y'all are on crack! if you can get manning, buttpepper, and maybe even mcnabb you can get running backs later. using yahoo system that is.
1. they score soooo many more points than the other qb's.
2. you'll bet a good rb or two in the second or third round.
3. there are always rb's that get hot half way through the season. ride the ones you get at first then use the waiver wire to pick up the hot backs.
4. receivers get the same scoring in my league as rb's(yahoo defalt), so why not go after the badass receivers and start them all year (they don't seem to get banged up as much as rb's) then ride the hot back.
granated, you man be able to get a qb later that gets hot the way mcnabb did last year and all bets are off
i guess it depends where your draft position is.
Lamont Jordan is NOT Ricky Williams, E. Smith or Davis, he is just Lamont Jordan, Backup RB for life, you'll see.
#1 -I wouldn't say Norv was the sole reason those RBs were successful. He does have some good background and experience, but I think it comes down to the player. I think Jordan will do good, however I don't think he deserves a rd 1 or 2 pick yet. I do think he'll do better than a back-up roll though
#2 -Watch/Practice Drafts, you will see, only if you are a late round pick should you consider picking up a QB with your Rd.1 pick. Sure you will have an okay RB, if you wait till Rd.2 but he won't be as consistant as a RD.1 RB. If you wait for round 2, these players WILL BE OFF the list: LT, Alexander, McGahee, Davis, Edge, Lewis, McAllister, and Holmes. *Gone* (like the gay song) sure there are a few other RBs that may do good, but 8 out of 10 times they are going to just be average. Granted Manning and Culpepper blew it up last year, but I really don't think they will have that hugh of difference again this year and you could get a QB that is just as good in Rd 2 or 3. (I'll be taking a QB in Rd.2 only because of our league has 2 QB spots -otherwise I would wait till 4) My case: 2003 there was only 75 points difference between Brad Johnson and P Manning (the number 1 QB that year too)... -Brad Johnson! 90 points difference for John Kitna!
#3 -I love when people draft WRs in Rd.1 or 2. If you play in my league please! I beg you! keep that idea... just go with it... Your soo right! please! That way I can get more, even better RBs and QBs in later rounds!
#4 -Finally, I agree with taking chances with questionable players. BUT NOT with your first or second picks. Use those for sure things. Then build your team from there.
Domanick Davis RB Houston
Deuce McAllister RB New Orleans
I have not seen 2 sites rank these guys the same. If you are drafting and our option is between these two, who do you pick?
I say McAllister, Houston keeps picking up RB's in the draft, maybe they know something we do not?
I have seen D. DAvis ranked as high as #5 overall, isn't that a tad crazy?
Frosty I didn't say anything about Green, Holmes or Rudi. I was talking about Ricky, Lifetime starter, Emmett, Lifetime Starter and Stephen Davis who after Allen left became a starter but could have started if Allen was not there. Lamont Jordan has not started becasue of Curtis Martin and could do well but after 4 years he has has all of 262 carries where Davis had 488 in that same time (1 as a starter). Some guys are starters some are not (Tyrone Wheatly, Ron Dayne), I will continue to think Jordan can't carry the load untle he does. I'll grab him in the 5th or 6th round if he is still around.
Oh No... McNabb is on the Madden cover...
When Holmes, Westbrook, DD, S.Davis finally had their chance to start it didn't automatically bump them up to early draft status though, until after they have proven themselves. It's great that they did good and became the players they did, but how many players have had the chance to start and failed or were injured because thier body wasn't use to the number of carries a #1RB gets? L.Jordan did good while he played, but he hasn't been the feature back, and even though I like him too, he still hasn't proven that he's worth that high of a pick. He is a Rd.3 pick at best
good points real, i gotta think the draft order through again.
it's true about the qb's. you can get a goodone in later rounds. crap,
I haven't really been able to see L jordan run any. just a little last year. he looked good. I remember hearing the coach wanted him to carry the ball more but the offensive co was sticking with martin.
