Sep 25 Updating previous reports, ESPN's John Clayton reports Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander (foot) may miss four to six weeks of action due to a broken bone in his foot. With the Seahawks having a Bye during Week 5, it is possible he could miss just three games. KFFL
Sep 25 Alexander is out indefinitely with a small crack in his left foot, coach Mike Holmgren announced at his Monday press conference.
Recommendation: The Seahawks ran 19 plays using four-receiver sets Sunday. Expect even more with Alexander sidelined. Maurice Morris will start in Alexander's place. Morris isn't a great option, though, as Alexander insurance. Alexander is expected to be sidelined 'at least a couple of weeks.' The Seahawks have a bye in Week 5, so best-case scenario Alexander misses only one week. Don't expect best-case scenario, though."
