NFL Football Gridiron Guru: Portis remains a valuable keeper - CBS SportsLine.com:

Football ( ) Sac Says: Well I'm not down with that! Portis is good, ok, fine. He is not elite, great or even spectacular. What he did in Denver ( ) is what backs do in Denver. Washington's anemic Offense is not going to get some iron anytime soon. Getting rid of Coles for Moss ( ) was 2 steps back and with Ramsey as the QB, I just don't see them able to play ball control football where Portis would get lots of looks. I also don't think his hands are that great so there is that as well. There are 5-7 other backs I would choose before Portis. Alexander ( ), Tomlinson, Martin (yes the league leader at 31 last year), Green to name a few. I would also choose a rookie such as Cedric Benson if he gets on a good team. I would even go as far as saying as far as productivity I would choose McGahee or better yet Dillon ( ) both will be better fantasy options before Portis.
